Solenn Heussaff’s second exhibit entitled “Kalsada”, which was created in collaboration with her nephew Kaeden, was unveiled on October 20 and will be open to the public until November 5 at the Provenance Art Gallery in Shangri-La, The Fort.
Despite her busy schedule, the actress, model, and social media influencer still finds time to pursue her passions, which includes painting. Just like Solenn, we’re all for honing our skills and making our dreams a reality. Whether it’s writing, photography, or painting, there’s no time like the present to start.
Here’s what we can take away from Solenn’s new art exhibit:
You can get inspiration from anything.
Walking through the park or simply eating at a restaurant could spark new ideas. The subjects of Solenn’s paintings are based on everyday people she’d seen and met while going around the Philippines. Solenn took lots of photos of the children she met while in Biri, Samar and used them for her paintings. She was also able to paint people from Mindanao with the help of a friend in Sulu.
Collaboration is good!
For over a year now, Solenn has been working on a series of paintings with her three-year-old nephew Kaeden Small. According to Solenn, “the series of paintings we came up with are all so colorful, even if some of the surroundings and expressions are quite sad.” Kaden was the one who used a lot of color, which showed that most children see things in a positive way. So, if you’re looking for someone to collaborate with, age shouldn’t matter!
Enjoy what you’re doing.
Following your passion doesn’t have to be a burden. Solenn has consistently updated her followers on her progress via social media. From what we’ve seen, she’s been having the time of her life!
