Looking for a tasty treat to kick off the weekend? Enjoy a guilt-free bowl of Poke!
Poke /pou’kei/, which means “to slice or cut”, is a popular Hawaiian appetizer made from raw fish, vegetables, and rice. Healthier options include replacing the rice with a salad or quinoa base.
Poke Poke offers diners a unique take on the popular dish by fusing Asian, Continental, and Hawaiian cuisine. It has a flexible menu and a wide selection of fish, meats, and sauces. They recently released two new dishes: Spam Musubi and Sexy Bowls.
The Spam Musubi takes inspiration from the Musubi, a Hawaiian classic inspired by sushi. A nice, thick cut of spam is placed above a block of soft rice and then wrapped with a strip of nori. It’s also available with Spam Teriyaki.
Also new to Poke Poke’s menu are the Sexy Bowls. This new line features three brand new bowls that are perfect for diners looking for a guilt-free meal. Instead of a DIY Poke bowl, the pre-selected toppings and flavor mix are loaded with veggies and packed with seafood. There are three kinds of Sexy Bowl flavors to choose from:
1. Fat Flush Sexy Bowl: Pan-seared salmon served on a bed of fresh, mixed greens and topped with ripe mango, fresh cucumber, pickled ginger, and seaweed.
2. Endurance Sexy Bowl: Fresh tuna served with pickled ginger, bell peppers, fried garlic, and cucumber, on a bed of mixed greens and topped with a selection of sesame oil, seaweed, salt and pepper, and special dressing.
3. Metabolic Charger Sexy Bowl: Tuna and fresh cuts of pomelo on a bed of mixed greens topped with fresh bell peppers, sesame seeds, salt and pepper and special dressing.
