No Time for Breakfast? No Problem!

Despite being the most important meal of the day, many of us end up skipping breakfast in the morning because of our hectic schedules. Instead of indulging in a hearty meal, we opt to sleep in longer or are forced to run out the door with just a cup of coffee.

What we fail to remember is that skipping this vital meal and starting the day hungry could be a gateway to poor and unhealthy choices.

Worry no more! Quaker Oats is presenting a way to give you a healthy and convenient breakfast: overnight oats. We all know that oats are a good quick-fix for breakfast – or anytime of the day. The fiber in oats keeps you fuller for longer, lowers bad cholesterol, and helps improve memory and mental performance.

With overnight oats, there’s no reason to skip breakfast when you’ve prepared it the night before. Plus, you can make it with items you already have on hand. All you need to remember are these three steps: (1) place the oats in a jar, (2) soak oats in milk, and (3) add your toppers (sliced fruits, honey, yogurt – you name it!). Pop it in the fridge and viola! A full meal will be waiting for you when you wake up. No cooking or heating is required. You can actually eat overnight oats while you’re caught in traffic or bring it to your office or school.

Here are some recipes that you might want to try for your first overnight oats breakfast:
