Having acne can take a toll on your self-confidence, and for a lot of girls, it’s not that simple to find a cure. Treating acne takes a lot of time, money, and effort, not to mention the emotional toll it takes. iamClaire. rounds up three beauty bloggers who bravely opened up about living with acne, and how they deal with it and all that it entails. Going bare-faced and vulnerable in front of the camera is not an easy thing to do, especially for those who's in the business of beauty. Katie Snooks is a beauty blogger from London who has suffered for acne for ten years and resorted to taking Roaccutane, medication that has a lot of health risks, to cure her acne. She documents her experiences and struggles in this video in hopes of showing the reality of taking medication while also inspiring others that it’s okay to show your imperfections.

This video by London-based beauty blogger Em Ford sends a powerful message not just about dealing with acne, but also about dealing with the criticism that comes with going bare-faced on social media. She attempts to change the stigma around wearing makeup for covering acne and challenges us to rise above the unrealistic beauty standards that we face in society today.

Cassandra Bankson

Model-turned-YouTube-Star Cassandra Bankson shares how she has tried every possible remedy and gone through so many dermatologists before finally enlisting herself in an aesthetic school to educate herself and also help others who are suffering from severe acne. In this video, she shares all the steps she took to clear out her acne.
