Choosing to publicly share your life online has its ups and downs. While it’s a great way to connect with friends, family, and fans, social media can also be very unforgiving, especially when people use it as a tool to bring others down. The veil of anonymity encourages followers to be bolder, and in most cases, meaner than they usually would be in person. Trolls attack with a vengeance when they see something amiss, or do so simply for the sake of entertainment and without taking the person’s feelings into consideration.
But that doesn’t mean you should stop posting altogether. It is your life and you shouldn’t let other people’s opinions dictate how you should live it. Instead of focusing on all the negativity, shake off the hateful comments and focus on the things that make you happy.
