So you want to reap the benefits of yoga but don’t quite know where to go or what to do. In case you aren’t quite convinced to get started on a yoga habit, think of its endless benefits. Yoga focuses on making your body strong and flexible, while improving your respiratory, circulatory, digestive, and hormonal systems. Aside from the physical benefits, yoga brings about emotional stability and clarity of mind by connecting every movement to your breath, training you in the practice of mindfulness and meditation.

There are many yoga classes around the city, and although there are different kinds of yoga classes, most of them welcome practitioners of all levels. Check out these five accessible yoga studios around the metro.

Price range: Special rates for beginners, then P550 per class and P4,600 for one month unlimited. Prices get cheaper the longer your packages go for.


Urban Ashram

This urban ashram is located in strategic spots in central business districts. They have yoga classes that cater to beginners, athletes (who are usually less flexible), as well as meditation classes and ballet.

Classes available: FNR (Flexibility Not Required) Beginners, FNR Athletes, Vinyasa, Stress-free Gentle Flow, Restorative, Pranayama and Meditation, Kundalini, Strength, Flow, Ballet, Pre-natal, Post-natal with Babies
Price range*: Special beginners rates then P750 for a day pass, P15,000 for 3 months unlimited pass. Pre-and-post-natal classes go from P750 per class to P6,000 for 10 classes.

Also located in central business districts, a membership at Yoga+ will get you access to their roomy studios, with a variety of classes that will suit different goals.

Classes available: Hot, Hot Core, Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Flow, Jivamutki, Fundamentals, Yin, Meditation
Price range: P799 for a class, P6499 for one month unlimited


White Space Yoga

This yoga studio is a holistic center that focuses on the mental as well as physical aspects of yoga. Aside from fitness classes, they offer many lessons for mental wellness that focus on mindfulness and self-healing.
