Whether you want to reach a number of steps per day by walking or want to try a new workout routine without a trainer, you can bet that there is a mobile app for that. So we downloaded a bunch of apps available on both the App Store and Google Play and have made a list of apps that will actually help you achieve your fitness goals!
You can actually use Fitbit even without the tracker. Just download the app to your smart devices and you’re all set! What’s good about the app is that you can log your weight, your food, activities, and count the calories you consumed and burned. You can also log your blood pressure, glucose, and other health information. When you’re out walking or running, you can enhance these with the app to keep track of your pace, time, and distance. To keep track of your progress, you can look back on what you’ve accomplished in the exercise calendar.
The Workout Trainer offers its users thousands of free workouts with step-by-step audio and video instructions to help and guide you while getting in shape. The workouts range from high intensity workouts, strength building routines, and yoga practices to name a few. Depending on your goal, you can even access the app’s library and build your own customized routines. Each of the workouts featured in the app was developed with a team of certified personal trainers and health professionals, so you know that they are safe to do and will eventually bring results.
The Nike+ Training Club has over 100 workouts and all of them are from Nike Trainers and professional athletes. The workouts have three levels of difficulty; beginner, intermediate and professional, and they focus on strength, endurance and mobility. The app features instructional audio and video clips, including 15-minute videos, to help you master your technique or get the most out of the chosen workout. You can stream these videos on your phone, tablet or TV for more convenience. What’s also great about this app is that you can create a personalized workout program based on your needs or goals, and it will continually adapt as you go. If you miss a day, it’ll help you get back on track. If you have done too much, it’ll help you tone it down a notch.
If you cannot commit yourself to doing workouts that are 30 minutes or an hour, you can definitely commit yourself to doing 7-minute workouts (unless you’re a commitment phobe). Not only can you choose the intensity levels of each workouts you can squeeze in for the day, it also coaches you through each move making this app great for people of all ability levels whether you’re a beginner or a pro. Like the aforementioned apps, you can also create your own customized workout routines and it can function as your personal trainer.

Daily Workouts features nearly 100 exercises that are grouped together into separate apps, depending on which part of your body you are focusing on working on. There are exercises that target the arms, glutes and legs; as well as drills to sculpt abs and for cardio. There are workouts that are only five to ten minutes long, but if you want full-body workouts, there are some that are ten to 30 minutes long. The app comes with videos and a timer, allowing you to easily follow along each exercise. The great thing about this app is that it can function without an internet connection.
Keelo is for those who want full-body, high intensity training. The app features over 150 workouts that focuses on cardio, strength building, and overall muscle conditioning.
